“Sorry the webcast is full.”
Not even a comma!
If I had bothered to become a member of ALA, I would write a letter of complaint.
So much for getting up at 7:30.
Updated: webcast now tells me…“Today’s archive webcast will be available momentarily.” That was at 8:28. Please define momentarily.

I feel less alone in my disappointment now. Found your sad post while spending way too much time (should be getting ready for work) searching and hoping that someone who did get into the webcast posts the results right away.
How East-Coast-centric of them to announce that the webcast happened at 10:45, when they were announced on the West. Ah well, I guess publishing, etc. mostly happens over there…

I’ve yet to find any bloggers to managed to ‘get in.’ Somehow that makes me feel better!
When I looked, the ALA website said 7:45. My only consolation in all that is that east coasters are waiting until 1pm for the press release to go up!

I was counting on my 2 year old to wake us up at her normal hour of 6:30. Of course she didn’t wake up this morning until 7:43. Too late. Luckily my mom is up there and she called at 8:20 with the news so I’ve been on the phone with 5 different bookstores and by 9:00 had the Caldecotts and Newberys waiting for afternoon pickup. Yeah! This is the only info I have: Newbery – The Higher Power of Lucky Honors – Penny From Heaven, Hatty Big Sky and Rules Caldecott – Flotsam Honors – Moses and Gone Wild
